What he does well is read the whole picture. Past medical history, how a joint actually behaves through its range, where the nervous system is guarding, and what the movement looks like once you put load on it, connected into one explanation that accounts for what the person has been telling him the entire time. The complicated ones are the cases he wants. Particularly neurological presentations and the post-injury plateau, where progress stopped and nobody could say why.

He works long-form on purpose, and ninety minutes is the first session, because the assessment is the session and because you can't listen properly on a fifteen-minute clock.

Marine Corps infantry before any of this, which is where the habit of breaking a problem into pieces and working it under pressure came from. Four years alongside clinicians in a VA outpatient clinic after that. He also teaches kinematics and load to students in a college physical therapist assistant program. He keeps learning because the work keeps asking him to.

Her training started with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy earned in Panama, and she finished her massage therapy education at the Life Line Institute here in Florida, where she practices as a licensed massage therapist. She carries a wide range of treatment capabilities, wider than most therapists carry, and it shows up in how she reads a body. Her training taught her how to assess and work towards what is driving the pain, and it taught her what an hour of genuinely good hands is supposed to feel like. She is as comfortable with someone who walks in hurting as with someone who has never been on a table before.

Her focus here is chronic tension and neuromuscular work. She assesses before she treats, she builds the session around what she finds rather than running a routine, and she will tell you plainly what she thinks is going on.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Side by side

Both of us assess before we treat, and both of us build the session around what we find. Where we differ is the kind of case each of us has spent the most hours on, and that is worth knowing before you pick a time.

Still deciding?

Book either of us from the cards above. Ninety minutes is what we recommend for a first visit either way, because the assessment is what makes the rest of it work, and if you already know what you are coming in for, the shorter sessions do the job. Still not sure who fits? Take the call first, which saves you booking twice.

Not sure which of us?

Ten minutes on the phone, free. Tell us what's going on and we'll tell you who to see and how long to book.
